NCTE Mourns the Loss of Civil Rights Leader Julian Bond

The National Center for Transgender Equality mourns the loss of Humanitarian and Civil Rights leader Julian Bond. For so many people in many social justice movements, his strength, commitment and love made him a hero.

NCTE Executive Director Mara Keisling said, "Julian Bond has certainly influenced me and the social justice work we do here at NCTE. His intelligence, fierceness, ability to feel and work across struggles, and even his rock solid, quiet demeanor have been tremendous inspirations to me and millions of others."
