For his groundbreaking work on LGBT constituent outreach and, in particular, facilitating President Obama's commitment to transgender equality, NCTE is honoring Brian Bond with the Distinguished Ally Award. In memory of longtime transgender activist Julie Johnson, Donna Cartwright will receive the Julie Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award for her steadfast commitment to NCTE as a founding board member.
Their advocacy and activism exemplify NCTE's mission to end discrimination and advance equality and social justice. Join us in celebrating their work on behalf of transgender people.
